Small Turntable
Create Professional 3D Product Shots
The Small Turntable is a PC-controlled turntable that fully automates the creation of 360-degree product shots in GIF or Flash file formats. The turntable can hold up to 25 lbs or 11 kg. Use it to create animations of shoes, gifts, toys, etc.
You can shoot between 4 and 200 shots in one revolution and choose between 72,150 and 300 dpi. The more shots you include the smoother the animation.
You can choose to stop after each shot allowing you to alter the subject between shots. You might choose to open the doors and bonnet on a model car for instance. If you choose “continuous” the camera clicks and the turntable moves automatically.
Take a look at some example animations below.

Features and Benefits
Computer Controlled
The 360° Small Turntable consists of a turntable and control software. It can be used with any digital camera or with a compatible digital camera. When used with a compatible digital camera, the control software synchronizes picture taking and turntable movement to automate picture taking as an object rotates 360 degrees. It can take between 4 and 72 pictures in a single rotation and automatically stitch the images into animated Flash or GIF files. Its fast! Fully automated, it can take 20 pictures in approximately 2 minutes 15 seconds.
When used with a non-compatible camera, the turntable movement is programmed to hold at a particular position for a few seconds while the user manually takes the picture. Pictures are saved to the camera's memory card, then downloaded and imported into the The 360° Photo Capture software for stiching.
Real-time Preview
See it rotate 360 degrees and crop it correctly before you take the first picture! Having a real-time preview means you can view the object as it spins and simultaneously make position, zoom, and crop adjustments on your monitor screen before you take the first picture. This is extremely important because the most important thing about taking 360 degree product shots is that the item is placed in the dead-center of the turntable, otherwise the object will 'wobble' as it spins. With the real-time preview this can be prevented, saving the user lots of time. Another huge benefit of our real-time preview is the ability to pre-crop. By setting up the crop markers in Preview mode, each picture will automatically be cropped as the pictures are taken, eliminating the need to crop each image one by one.
Auto Image Capture
After selecting the number of pictures per revolution, image size, resolution and spinning direction, the The 360° Photo Capture software will take control of the camera and turntable to automatically stop and start the turntable in conjunction wit h picture taking to capture the images. While most image capture is automatic, time-lapse and manual capture options are available.
Annotation and Editing Tools
Use the Image Creation Software to draw or write text on images to increase their communication value or replace the background with pure white to prepare the images for use on a website.
Several Output Options
The resulting pictures can be stitched together to create three types of mouse controlled animated Flash (SWF) files or animated GIF files. The individual JPG images can be exported for editing in programs such as Photoshop(R) then re-imported into the PhotoCapture 360 program for stitching. The individual JPG files can also be exported to Flash(R) or QuickTime(R) VR for stitching.
Applications
Automatically create animated Flash and GIF files for websites
Export captured images to Flash or QuickTimeVR for creating animations in multiple formats
Automates the process of taking pictures of an object from multiple sides
Use the animations or still pictures in documentation, websites, presentations or for other business communication purposes
You can create animations like these
Once you have captured the images you can use the pictures to create any of these outputs:
Frequently Asked Questions
How many shots do I need per rotation?
How long does it take?
There is no correct answer to these questions. We can tell you it will take 2 minutes for the camera to take 20 shots and deliver them to the PC but maybe 20 shots is too many or not enough for your animation.
