The larger PC Controlled Studio is already popular in the footwear industry. Companies like Jimmy Choo, Schuh, and Kickers use a box.
What is interesting is how different footwear companies use the box. Some use it to capture images for their e-commerce site - the webmaster takes the images rather than relying on external photographers.
Other footwear companies have bought several boxes and put them in the warehouse. From there on-line auctions are run for individual pairs of end-of-line stock. In this case the people taking the pictures are not image professionals.
Allternatively the box is used to create images for Look Books. In this case high resolution images are required and the box is used by a graphical artist.
The size of the box means both shoes and boots can be shot inside the box. On this page you can see everything from children’s shoes, through men’s footwear through to a lady’s boot. |
